About Us

Meet Rosanna and Shannon, both have ridden since childhood, met at pony club and were teen sweethearts.

 

Lovely Banks Horse Agistment was established in 2016 where they began their professional horse careers in the Thoroughbred industry, providing racehorse agistment including spelling, broodmare agistment, foaling down, weanling and yearling education and sales preparation. 

 

Together Rosanna and Shannon have provided pretraining for racing thoroughbreds. Rosanna, has ridden trackwork and retrained off the track racehorses (standardbreds and thoroughbreds) for equestrian and pleasure riding.

 

Rosanna has competed on many different breeds and in many different disciplines including English and Western.

 

Rosanna’s previous experience as a Training and Assessment Officer, providing formal, nationally consistent training to Biosecurity Officers with the Department of Agriculture has developed her love for teaching, which she now combines with her passion for horses. Rosanna’s moto is “We never stop learning.”

 

Over the years Rosanna has developed her own unique style to coaching riders and training horses, drawing on traditional English, Western and Natural Horsemanship methods. Focusing on the partnership between horse and rider. Specializing in boosting confidence by making lessons fun to chase away the fright.

 

Shannon is the muscle of the operation, tending to the grounds and providing the agistment services.
